What Is Intel’s Ivy Bridge Technology

What Is Intel’s 3rd Generation Ivy Bridge Technology ? I know this question is striking in your mind .But you don’t know what is actually Ivy bridge ?.Ivy Bridge is most hot topic in hardware field.Ivy bridge is the Intel’s new technology in processor field.It is the code name of Intel’s 22 nm die shrink of the Sandy Bridge microarchitecture which is based on tri-gate (“3D”) transistors.

 Size of Ivy bridge processor (160mm² ) is about half of sandy bridge but it have 1.4 billion transistor which is 61% more than bridge 2nd generation or sandy bridge.And it consume low power ,its about 77W and this make its CPU more faster about 15% than sandy bridge.Ivy bridge also improve its GPU about 20-50 % from previous and its comes with Intel HD 4000 though some model HD 2500.And you the great thing is HD 4000 is much better than current HD 3000.Intel also says that it does not need any secondary graphics Nvidia or AMD to run  high end game that are available in market.This above result are executed by sandy bridge benchmarks and ivy bridge benchmarks.

Ivy Bridge feature improvements over Sandy Bridge include:

When in 2010 Intel launch 1st generation processor i7,i5 and i3 then we think that we are using most great fastest processor then Intel bring 2nd generation processor.After 2nd generation or sandy bridge released Intel keep the name same as i7,i5 and i3.Now this this time Intel launched 3rd generation processor which is more better than 2nd generation.Intel this time does not change the name of Ivy bridge based processor. So how we will know which i7 or i5 model is 3rd generation ? Its simple if we know that 2nd generation processor’s model no start with 2 so this time it will start with 3.Here some model no i7-3770K, i7-3770, i7-3770T, i7-3770S , these are for desktop for mobile mean laptop or notebook it will end with M as like this i7-3920XM, i7-3820QM, i7-3720QM

  

So if are still using Sandy bridge laptop or PC and want to make you PC or laptop more fast then upgrade it or you can custom noteboks.Or if you want to but notebook or ultrabook having sandy bridge the just check the model of processors like i say above.
