How to make depth map image online for Facebook 3D photo

  1. First captured a portrait mode photo by using the above mentioned device
  2. Send the image file to PC by connecting your Android phone to PC by USB cable or best is email so that image file does not compress.
  3. Open Depth Map image extractor tool online on your desktop browser
  4. Hit the Choose a file button and browse the image file
  5. It will process within a few seconds and give you a zip file which will be downloaded automatically.
  6. Unzip the zip file.
  7. It contains the grey scale depth map image as well source image having proper nomenclature

Now you can upload it directly to Facebook through a desktop browser. This is the easiest and straightforward way to upload a Facebook 3D photo using an Android phone. Though still, we are unable to upload the source and depth map image files directly from the android Facebook app, it is expected that very soon we will be able to do it through a major portion of the android device,
