Everybody loves to customize their PC , they love to decorate it like me. As some people keep the tiles of daily necessary apps or software at begging , and keep the unnecessary tiles at the end. This makes you easy to navigate your apps but there is another way to easily navigate apps. But if you want to keep tiles according their genre like games are in a same column or row then some problem arises like some apps from the Windows App store have a rectangular shape and some have a square shape. So it does not match easily or looks odd.

There is a way to change the size or shape of rectangular shape tiles. Mean you can convert a rectangular shape tile into a square shape tile.

So how to change the size or shape of  Metro Tiles in Windows 8?

First of all I want to make clear that you can change the size of rectangular shape tiles or big size tiles into the square shape or small size tile. But you can’t make a small size tile into a big size tile in Windows 8 Release Preview.

Step 1: Go to your Start Screen
Step 2: Now chose the tile that you want to resize or reshape
Step 3: Just right click on it
Step 4: You will get an option “Smaller” at the bottom of your screen , click on it.

You can also rollback or go back to previous shape or size by same method just choosing “larger”.

It will make somehow easier to arrange your tiles on the Start screen.
