Why I have switched to Brave Web Browser from Google Chrome
There was a time when I used to surf the internet from cyber cafe and I was introduced to Internet Explorer that I need to open first then type the URL in the address bar to open that website. Life changes gradually and when I was college, the era of Orkut, someone recommended me to use Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer so that My laptop could load web pages faster through the 2G internet connection plugging my Nokia 3110 via USB and opening the most famous Nokia PC Suite Software.
I had used Mozilla Firefox as my default browser till it comes with the nasty and frequent beta update, then I had switched to Google Chome as Google was very fast and smooth in terms of the browsing experience. As per my memory concern, I have been using Google Chrome as my default browser for 7 years. I know Google Chome eats up lots of RAM that why I have recently upgraded my My Laptop adding another 4GB RAM Stick.
Recently Microsoft has launched the chromium version of Edge web browser and I have tried that for a few days as I have an attachment towards chromium based web engine. But not impressed with Chromium-based Edge. But Finally, I am really impressed by a desktop web browser that can outnumber Google Chrome in terms of browsing speed and privacy.
And that browser is the brave web browser. Brave is a Chromium-based web browser and faster and smoother than Google Chrome in every aspect.
Let me explain why Brave web browser is better than Google Chrome?
Speed
By default Brave blocks ads and trackers that’s why it loads webpages faster than Google Chrome. Brave tracks the time it saves you and displays it when you open the browser.
Privacy
As Brave blocks ads and trackers. Where in Google Chrome you need a third party software or plugins to block ads. It also blocks third-party cookies that track your browsing history which data mainly used by Google or Facebook advertisement. Now whenever you open an e-commerce website to purchase something through Brave browser, that particular items or goods will not be shown on Facebook via advertisement. Brave saves all your browsing data on your computer, which means you can delete all those data at any time. Brave also supports Tor browsing, making it the first all-purpose browser to do so.
Security
As it is a Chromium-based web browser you don’t need to worry about the security. It has all those security frameworks to encrypt or HTTPS connection same as available on Google Chome.
Usability
Brave browser as a clean UI and you can use Google Chrome Extension on it. As by default, it blocks ads and tracker you would love to watch YouTube videos through this browser as you don’t need to click on Skip ads button.
Limitation
Better than Google Chrome there is no doubt but there are some limitations. First I have missed the Google user account that sync everything pretty well. Brave should keep an option where I can enable ads and trackers for some particular website and modify that exception list as per my requirement. Lastly, I would recommend you to try the Brave web browser if you hate ads and concern about your privacy.
