VLC 360: Play 360-degree video and photo on PC & Mac
VR and 360-degree video is the next generation thing. Looking forward to next generation VideoLAN has released VLC 360° Technical Preview which can play 360-degree video and its first any media player that can play 360-degree video. VideoLan has launched this VLC 360° Technical Preview for Windows 7 or higher and MacOS 10.10 or above version. Not only 360-degree video it can play 360-degree photo which you may have seen on Facebook. So if you have 360-degree video or photo then you can directly play on VLC 360.
What is 360-degree video or photo?
360-degree video or photo is the concept for VR purpose. Mean a normal photo can give the view of some portion of a moment. It can’t show the other angle of view at that moment. 360-degree photo or video which are captured by a 360-degree camera can shoot the whole 360-degree view.
And all these shots are merged, and when you play these 360-degree photos or video you need to move your head if you are on VR to see the 360-degree view.
Now you can play these 360-degree videos or photos on your computer via VLC 360° , you don’t need any VR. Just use your mouse to change the angle of view. You can also use the scroll button on a mouse to zoom in or zoom out.
