Valve Released Gamer’s OS SteamOS : Download Now
There was a time when Windows PC was the only platform to play High graphics game but now it’s all changing. Then two monster gaming console came Sony’s Playstation and Microsoft’s Xbox. And recently the both giant released next generation gaming console PS4 and Xbox One. At this same time Valve is working on their Steam Box but before this they launched their dedicated OS to play the game which you will buy from Steam. As Steam Software is famous for digital distribution and multiplayer gaming. It’s mainly used to distribute media and game via online. Mean if you want to buy BF4 game then you can buy it from a retail store on DVD or download from EA’s official website. Otherwise use steam to buy it and the great thing about steam is you don’t need key etc. It’s like buying any apps from Google Play store.
So what is special in Valve’s SteamOS ?
Stems is the Valve’s dedicated OS to Steam gaming console and PC. Stems is based on the Linux Kernel and Debian distribution code name Debian Wheezy.
The main target of SteamOS is giving gamer’s a awesome experience not only this user will be able to stream any kind of game which is running on either Windows PC or Mac to the SteamOS installed PC. Accoring Valve it will SteamOS will provide better graphics experience.
As the primary objective of SteamOS is gaming so you may not able to do all the stuffs that you do with or noramr desktop OS weather is Linux, Windows or Mac. Valve requested us that don’t consider stems as a replacement of your regular desktop OS.
Though SteamOS Beat is based on Linux but it’s not open source, it comes with Steam Client program. And you can use an Advance Packing Tool to install or uninstall software on your SteamOS beat.
