This is another good initiative of Our PM Narendra Modi’s Digital India project after the UTS Android App of Indian Railway. India Post is the heart of Indian postal communication, in spite of many criticisms its Speed Post still best and better than any courier service. With the launching of Postinfo India Post makes it easy to track and search post office any many more things just by this Android app on your smartphone. Postinfo Android App is developed by the Centre for Excellence in Postal Technology Communication.

Searching any Post Office become easy with this app. Just enter the first four characters of the name the Post Office or the PIN code that you want to search, you will get a list of matching Post Office. Not only this you can get full details of that Post Office like the location, contact details etc just by clicking on the row. The name of the Division and contact details of the Divisional Superintendent (where ever available), details of Regional Postmaster General and the Chief Postmaster General will also displayed.
POSTAGE CALCULATOR:
Using Postinfo you can calculate the postage cost of different types article that you want to post, you just need to enter the weight of the article. Using this feature you can calculate the tariff cost of these following items..
